Toyota:South Korea clinched the men's football gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games, defeating Japan 1-0 in the final held at Toyota Stadium with 30,000 spectators in attendance.

According to Qatar News Agency, Eom Ji-sung scored the decisive goal in the 60th minute, ensuring South Korea's historic fourth straight gold medal in the event.

Japan, aiming for their first gold since 2010, was led by coach Go Oiwa, who is set to manage the senior national team following the Asian Cup next year.

The tournament featured under-23 national teams, with each side permitted to include three players over the age limit.
