Sisi directs to ease measures for Qatari investments in Egypt – PM

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli said Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed to ease measures for the Qatari businesspeople who are interested in pumping investments into Egypt.

Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting with Qatari Ambassador in Cairo Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, who conveyed to him the greetings of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani.

The Qatari envoy expressed his pleasure for the development witnessed in the Qatari-Egyptian relations during his first year as head of the Qatari diplomatic mission in Cairo, citing the exchanged visits by Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President Sisi.

He expected that the coming period would see an increase in the Qatari investments in the Egyptian market, a thing which should pay off for the peoples of the two countries.

For his part, Madbouli asked Al Shafi to convey his greetings to his Qatari counterpart, wishing they could arrange a joint meeting as soon as possible.

He also said he personally reviews all the files concerning investors, promising to remove any obstacles facing them.
