According to Qatar News Agency, with this result, Senegal raised their tally to 7 points, topping the group on goal difference ahead of Croatia, which also possess 7 points after having defeated Costa Rica 3-1. Meanwhile, both the UAE and Costa Rica remained on 1 point each. As a result, Senegal and Croatia have both secured direct qualification to the Round of 32, finishing first and second in Group C respectively. In other matches played today, Italy defeated South Africa 3-1 in the third round of Group A matches. With this win, Italy raised their total to 9 points, topping the group and officially qualifying for the Round of 32. South Africa remained in second place with 4 points, two points ahead of Qatar, which sit in third place, while Bolivia are fourth with 1 point.
