Doha: His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), participated in the opening session of the 26th Session of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Conference in Doha, Qatar. According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, His Excellency delivered a speech during the event, welcoming participants in the scientific panels at a time marked by challenges and crises. He highlighted the crucial role of distinguished scholars in collective Ijtihad (jurisprudence) to issue fatwas and provide clarity on Islam's stance regarding contemporary and emerging issues. His Excellency also acknowledged the efforts of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in enlightening the Muslim Ummah and promoting the values of Islam amid global transformations.
