Ramallah Welcomes Freed Palestinian Prisoners in Third Wave of Hamas-Israel Swap

Ramallah: In a significant development in the ongoing prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Israel, the third wave of Palestinian prisoners arrived in downtown Ramallah on Sunday evening. The prisoners were released from Ofer Prison, situated in the central West Bank, marking a pivotal moment in the swap agreement.

According to Jordan News Agency, upon their arrival, the freed individuals were warmly received by thousands of Palestinians, including their families. The crowd celebrated their release with chants in support of Gaza and the resistance, demonstrating solidarity and communal joy. Qaddoura Fares, President of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, acknowledged the release of the 39 prisoners in this third batch of the deal. He advocated for the liberation of all Palestinian prisoners, who currently exceed 7,000 in Israeli prisons, emphasizing the need for continued efforts towards their release.
