QSE Index Opens Higher Driven by Sector Gains

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Tuesday, marking an increase of 26.70 points, or 0.25%, to reach 10,580 points, in contrast to the previous session's close. The rise was supported by gains across most sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the market data indicated growth in several sectors. The Industrials sector saw an increase of 0.27%, while Telecoms rose by 0.51%. Consumer Goods and Services also experienced a rise, increasing by 0.29%. Banks and Financial Services, along with Real Estate, recorded gains of 0.17% and 0.36% respectively. The Transportation sector noted an uplift of 0.28%. However, the Insurance sector experienced a decline of 0.27%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 63.350 million, with a total of 26.920 million shares being traded in 3,710 transactions.
