QSE Drops 0.36% at Start of Trading

Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced a decline of 38.43 points, or 0.36%, at the commencement of Tuesday's trading session, bringing it down to the level of 10,661 points from the previous day's closing.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index was affected by the downturn in five sectors. The Insurance sector saw a drop of 0.08%, Banks and Financial Services fell by 0.34%, Industrials decreased by 0.57%, and Real Estate declined by 0.60%. Meanwhile, the Consumer Goods and Services sector managed a rise of 0.95%. The Transportation and Telecoms sectors also saw increases of 0.35% and 0.21%, respectively.

By 10:00 am, the market had witnessed the trading of 19.566 million shares across 2,649 transactions, with a total trading value of QR 51.207 million.
