QRCS Provides Over 88,000 Hot Meals to Displaced Families in Gaza

Gaza:Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has distributed more than 88,000 hot meals to displaced families living in camps across Gaza. The initiative, which cost a total of USD 489,016, is part of QRCS's ongoing efforts to address the severe food crisis in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Akram Nassar, head of QRCS's representation office in Gaza, stated that the project was designed to directly deliver 88,912 hot meals to the most severely affected displacement camps.

The initiative is a part of QRCS's broader response to fill critical gaps in essential sectors within Gaza, such as food, healthcare, shelter, and water and sanitation. QRCS has also announced plans to continue its support for food security by maintaining and reactivating bakeries, distributing food baskets, and providing therapeutic nutrition to malnourished children. This ongoing support is projected to have a total cost exceeding QR 16.5 million.
