Doha: Qatar National Library (QNL) is organizing weekly guidance sessions as part of its "Murshidi" program, which aims to support students and recent graduates in Qatar by providing academic and career guidance delivered by some of the most respected experts and educators across Qatar's leading institutions. QNL explained in a statement today that these sessions are held every Saturday, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, in the library lobby. They provide a stimulating environment for constructive dialogue and learning, and expand participants' professional networks. According to Qatar News Agency, the Murshidi program connects mentees with more than 90 mentors from institutions such as Qatar Foundation, HBKU, Sidra Medicine, and QCRI. This initiative offers access to a network of professionals across various fields including medicine, technology, law, innovation, policy, and education. Mentees can select their areas of focus and choose 3 or 4 potential mentors, with each student being matched with a mentor for focu sed one-on-one sessions that address their individual goals and aspirations, based on availability and subject needs. Murshidi ensures structure and professionalism, with all communications managed by QNL staff. Mentees are expected to attend sessions on time and maintain respectful engagement throughout the program.
