New york: HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dr. Khalilur Rahman.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar praised the ongoing cooperation with the Office of the President of the General Assembly. She expressed well wishes for the President-elect's success in his responsibilities and reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to working closely with the Office to ensure the success of the 81st session.

In response, HE the President-elect expressed gratitude to the State of Qatar for its continued collaboration with the United Nations. He acknowledged Qatar's significant contribution to the organization and expressed his intention to maintain strong cooperation with Qatar to strengthen the General Assembly's role in tackling shared challenges and issues.
