Qatari and Saudi Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Stability in Phone Call

Doha: A telephone conversation occurred between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia. During the call, the two leaders reviewed the cooperative relations between their countries and explored ways to support and strengthen them. They also discussed the latest regional developments, focusing on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Qatari minister emphasized the importance of committing to dialogue and diplomacy. He urged all parties to adhere to the agreements made within the framework of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to maintain regional security, preserve achieved gains, and enhance stability.

Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar's full support for efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that promotes sustainable peace in the region.
