Doha: A telephone call took place between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, during which they reviewed the relations of cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, and the latest regional developments, especially the diplomatic efforts made and joint coordination to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed the need for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement what was agreed upon within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to maintain the security of the region, preserve the gains that have been achieved, and enha nce regional stability. He reiterated the State of Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.
