Bandung: The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center of the Ministry of Culture has achieved significant success at the Asian Stamp Exhibition currently being held in Bandung, Indonesia. This prestigious event, organized under the umbrella of the Inter-Asia Philatelic Federation (FIAP), features participation from 32 countries. According to Qatar News Agency, the center's entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of international jurors, resulting in impressive achievements across several categories. The exhibit titled "The First Regular Stamps of Qatar" was awarded a gold medal (G), while "The Postal History of Kuwait" received a large gold medal (LV). Additionally, the entries "The Postal History of Oman," "The History of Aden Stamps," and "Detained Mail During World War II (USA and Switzerland)" each garnered gold medals (V). The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center is a member of both the Federation Internationale de Philatelie (FIP) and FIAP and has representation on FIAP's Executive Committee. The center remains committed to participating in international exhibitions organized by FIP and FIAP, emphasizing the advancement of philately as a hobby and providing opportunities for its development. It ensures that all possible resources are made available for its members to engage in and promote philatelic pursuits.
