Qatar Engages in INTERPOL General Assembly in Morocco

Marrakech: The State of Qatar is actively participating in the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly, held in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco, from November 24 to 27. Representatives from law enforcement agencies across 196 countries are present at the assembly.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Interior's delegation is led by Acting Director of the International Cooperation Department Major General Nasser Yousef Al Mal. The team includes Assistant Director of the Public Relations Department Colonel Dr. Jabr Hamoud Jabr Al Nuaimi and several other ministry officers. A delegation from the Public Prosecution, headed by Head of the International Cooperation Prosecution Nawaf Abdullah Al Kuwari, is also in attendance.

The agenda of the meeting includes discussions on the development of global police databases, enhancing information sharing, and tackling issues such as organized crime, cybercrime, and terrorist financing. Additionally, the assembly will deliberate on INTERPOL's 2030 strategic roadmap.

Qatar's participation highlights its commitment to global security cooperation, emphasizing its leading role in the organization. This commitment was further demonstrated by Colonel Ali Mohammed Al Ali's election to the Executive Committee representing Asia for the 2024 Glasgow session. Furthermore, Qatar is already preparing to host the 95th INTERPOL General Assembly in Doha in 2027.
