Qatar: Qatar Charity (QC), through its office in Pakistan, organized a three-day medical camp to perform cataract surgeries and provide comprehensive medical care and eye check-ups in the Naseerabad district of the Balochistan province. The medical camp, held in collaboration with Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, benefited 1,820 individuals, including elderly people, people with disabilities, women, and children. According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Charity, through this medical camp, aims to provide early diagnosis and treatment for patients. As a result of this initiative, 134 cataract surgeries were successfully performed, and 734 pairs of eyeglasses were provided. The remaining patients received medications for eye allergies and other conditions. The medical camp is part of Qatar Charity's Ibsar (Eyesight) initiative, a specialized health initiative focused on combating blindness and improving eye health for vulnerable communities in various countries. Qatar Charity, through this initiative, provides free medical check-ups, medicines, and eyeglasses, in addition to performing cataract surgeries. The medical camp not only provided comprehensive eye care, but also promoted personal hygiene, environmental health, and preventive eye care measures. Local officials expressed great satisfaction with the medical camp organized by Qatar Charity. Deputy Commissioner of Naseerabad Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar appreciated Qatar Charity's efforts in providing eye care to patients, noting that the camp brought great relief to many needy patients. "I urge Qatar Charity to expand its health interventions in the region," he added, highlighting the organization's role in supporting flood victims and marginalized communities through important projects.
