New York:The State of Qatar participated in a high-level side event titled "Delivering Social Rights, Renewing Democracy From Doha and Chisinau to a New Democratic Pact for Europe," held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar was represented by Her Excellency Sheikha Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Director of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She highlighted Qatar's commitment to multilateral action through its hosting of the Second World Summit for Social Development, which aimed at renewing the international focus on development centered around people and promoting social justice.

Sheikha Hanouf emphasized the significance of the Doha Political Declaration as a framework for translating commitments into action towards achieving development and social justice. This framework supports the accelerated implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, ensuring inclusivity and that no one is left behind.
