Major General Obaidullah Maaytah, Director of the Public Security Department (PSD), on Tuesday met with an Italian military delegation led by Brigadier General Pietro Carrozza, Deputy Director of Operations at the Italian Carabinieri's General Command. The dialogue centered on fortifying bilateral police and security collaboration. Maaytah highlighted the PSD's commitment to refining the expertise of its staff, drawing from the vast knowledge and practices of allied nations. He emphasized the profound ties with Italian law enforcement, a testament to the strong bond shared between Jordan and Italy. Brigadier Carrozza, along with his delegation, commended the PSD for its exemplary standards and its unwavering dedication to maintaining high professional conduct. He reaffirmed the longstanding and deep-rooted relationship between the two nations. The visit of the Italian delegation to the Royal Department for Environmental Protection aims to finalize the partnership project with the Italian Carabinieri. The initiative seeks to bolster the department's endeavors in heritage and natural resource conservation, explore operational frameworks, share expertise, and implement globally recognized practices in awareness, training, and advancing environmental and tourism security within Jordan.
