The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) participated in the 48th session of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS), which was held recently in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The State of Qatar was represented in the session by PSA President's Assistant Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi. The meeting reviewed many topics, including the AITRS's work program and plan for 2024-2025, according to the needs of statistical agencies and the initiatives of partner organizations in cooperation with the AITRS to organize joint activities. The AITRS's budget for 2024 was also reviewed, and many statistical activities and initiatives in many Arab countries were presented. The AITRS Board of Trustees is consisted of the central statistical offices of the member states. It is the supreme authority of AITRS and assumes the responsibility of developing its overall policy and regulations in addition to planning and monitoring its programs and activities as wel l as overseeing its technical, financial and management work.
