President Abdel Fattah El Sisi shook hands with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Doha, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady on Monday 21/11/2022.

The two presidents affirmed the depth of ties binding Cairo and Ankara as well as the historical bonds between their peoples, added the spokesman.

They also agreed that their get-together will mark the beginning to enhance bilateral ties between the two sides, said the spokesman on Monday 21/11/2022.

President Sisi headed to Qatar on Sunday to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Doha.
