RAMALLAH, Premier Mohammad Shtayyeh today extended his thank to Qatar for its $500 contribution for Gaza reconstruction.
Premier Shtayyeh extended his appreciation to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, for announcing $500 million in support for the reconstruction of Gaza following the ceasefire that ended the worst Israeli onslaught on the besieged coastal enclave.
“The government welcomes every effort to help our people in the Gaza Strip, whether in terms of the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance or rebuilding what has been destroyed by the Israeli aggression,” Shtayyeh stated as he commended Doha’s ongoing efforts to reinforce the Palestinian people’s steadfastness on their land.
He pointed that the government’s current priorities are to accelerate the delivery of relief assistance to the war-torn enclave, starting the reconstruction following new mechanisms that ensure its completion within an acceptable timeframe in addition to launching an economic recovery and development program for all the sectors in the strip.
