Pope Francis said that since October 7, the Middle East has been subjected to increasingly intense suffering as "devastating military operations continue to hit the Palestinian people," referring to the occupation army. According to the Vatican News website, the Pope called for an immediate ceasefire on all fronts in the Middle East, including Lebanon, as well as respecting the sovereignty of states and ensuring dialogue and peace instead of hatred and war.
