The Police Academy celebrated on Monday the graduation of the fifth group of the fourth edition of Police Officers of Tomorrow program (summer 2023) in the presence of HE President of National Cyber Security Agency Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Maliki, alongside a contingent of officers and officials at the Ministry of Interior.
The graduation ceremony was punctuated by a wide range of skillful shows performed by the program graduates in substantiation of police and security program, such as self-defense skills, handling some security situations by policemen, civil defense operations, marksmanship, and use of rifle. The graduates presented an introductory scenario of Al Adeed service as one of the services offered by the Ministry of Interior through metrash2 application, along with some military and sports shows.
Commenting on this occasion, deputy director of the Police Academy and director of the Police College Lt. Col. Fahd Saeed Al Subaie said that the organization of this program comes to consolidate the concept of societal partnership with state institutions for the proper upbringing of compatriots in the homeland to be good citizens for themselves and their homeland, outlining that the program’s idea is based on investing in leisure times more better during summer vacations.
He pointed out that the program is based on underpinnings of consolidating values of citizenship and patriotism for young people, bolster their personal skills, build communication bridges between the college and society, in addition to spreading security awareness among cadets.
The number of participants in the program this year reached over 2000 cadets who have been distributed to six groups with a two-week training offered to each group, Lt. Col. Al Subaie said, pointing out that the training plan includes miscellaneous activities and trainings in infantry military, self-defense, physical fitness, air rifle marksmanship, as well as religious and cultural lectures.
Over the past month, the Police Academy celebrated the graduation of the first four groups affiliated with the program, while the sixth and final group will be graduated next Tuesday.
The ‘Police Officers of Tomorrow program is organized in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency and the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs which presented a series of educational lectures to cadets. The program also cooperates with Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, Orphans Care Center (Dreama) and Protection, along with Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN).
