MSDF and Qatar Chamber Discuss Collaborative Training Initiatives

Doha: Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber (QC) Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri has met with a delegation from the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) during its visit to QC. The delegation included Director of the Family Empowerment Department Buthaina Al Obaidly, Head of the Empowerment Section Ghada Al Emadi, and Fatima Al Mohannadi, Social Services Programs Coordinator.

According to Qatar News Agency, the talks centered on ways to reinforce cooperation between both sides, particularly in the area of training and development programs. Al Mansouri emphasized QC's commitment to supporting and empowering productive families and home-based entrepreneurs. This initiative is part of QC's broader role in supporting the private sector and encouraging entrepreneurship, which is vital for diversifying income sources and enabling meaningful economic participation.

Productive families form an essential segment of entrepreneurs, with many home-based ventures successfully offering competitive products and services. Al Mansouri highlighted the importance of creating a supportive environment for these ventures to grow, sustain, and transition into small and medium-sized enterprises capable of reaching a broader consumer base.

Al Mansouri further noted that QC prioritizes enhancing the capabilities of home-based entrepreneurs through training and rehabilitation. This focus is particularly on project management, marketing, digital marketing, cost management, pricing, customer service, and product quality improvement, equipping entrepreneurs with the necessary skills to manage their businesses effectively.

Moreover, Al Mansouri stressed the need for collaboration among various entities to establish an integrated system that aids entrepreneurs in overcoming challenges and transforming their ideas into successful ventures.
