The National Center for Curriculum Development (NCCD) and the National Center for Human Rights (NCHR) signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) for coordination and joint cooperation to include the concept of human rights in the process of developing educational curricula and preparing joint studies. The memorandum, which was signed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the NCCD Muhyiddin Touq and the Chairman of the NCHR Samar Haj Hassan, comes in line with the strategic plan of the NCCD, which aims to enhance cooperation and partnership with national institutions in a way that contributes to the preparation of developed curricula that prepare students for the future and support their positive participation in building and developing their country and increases their knowledge and cultural outcomes. The two parties stressed the importance of the memorandum to boost joint efforts to integrate human rights concepts into national curricula, in addition to indicating the extent to which it includes human rights in accordance with the Jordanian constitution and international human rights standards.
