Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday called on a number of concerned state departments to take the appropriate measures to honor Lebanon’s men of independence marking Independence Day on November 22, 2022.

Wreaths will be placed in the name of the Lebanese Republic on the tombs of Lebanon’s men of independence, as per the honors and ceremonies decree.

On another level, the Prime Minister met at the Grand Serail on Thursday with Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim Abdul Aziz Al-Sahlawi, who handed him an official invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar on the 20th of November.

Mikati then chaired a meeting over the 2023 state budget. In the wake of the meeting, Caretaker Finance Minister, Youssef Al-Khalil, said, “This meeting was devoted to discussing the 2023 budget, and the reform items that will be adopted to make the budget more balanced.”

Later during the day, the Prime Minister met with Caretaker Minister of Education, Judge Abbas Al-Halabi, in the presence of a delegation representing the “Educational Center for Research and Development”.

In the wake of the meeting, Minister Al-Halabi said, “We’ve presented to the Prime Minister a document titled “The National Framework for New Curricula”, which will be presented on November 23 to the Supreme Curriculum Committee, which in turn will study and approve this document after making the observations it deems appropriate.
