The gala, attended by Sozzani's family, highlighted the ongoing work of The Franca Sozzani Fund for Preventive Genomics. It also underscored a commitment to innovative healthcare, ethical standards, global advocacy, and compassionate care, with additional support for the Qatar Cancer Society and the Xana Foundation in Barcelona.
The gala successfully raised over $4 million, which will support The Franca Fund's mission to advance research in preventive genomics at Harvard Medical School and Mass General Brigham. This research, led by Dr. Robert Green, focuses on using DNA analysis to detect and prevent inherited conditions affecting millions worldwide.
