Kuwait Bourse Indexes Show Mixed Performance

Kuwait: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 18.72 points to reach 8,847.93 points, a decrease of 0.21 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, trading activities saw as many as 421.12 million shares valued at KWD 97.2 million (roughly USD 298.4 million) being exchanged through 30,316 transactions. The Main Market Index saw a decline of 22.80 points, reaching 9,134.78 points, which marked a decrease of 0.25 percent. This was achieved through 321.5 million shares carried out via 21,090 transactions valued at KWD 58.7 million (approximately USD 180.2 million).

The Premier Market Index registered a loss of 18.83 points, closing at 9,246.08 points, down by 0.20 percent. The trading involved 99.6 million shares completed through 9,226 transactions, with a total value of KWD 38.5 million (around USD 118.19 million).

On the other hand, the Bourse Main 50 Index recorded a gain of 35.57 points, ending at 11,000.85 points, an increase of 0.32 percent. This positive performance was driven by a stock volume of 142.2 million shares conducted in 9,737 deals, totaling a value of KWD 28.5 million (approximately USD 87.4 million).
