Ramallah: The Israeli occupation authorities have renewed administrative detention orders against 45 Palestinian detainees for varying periods, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs announced in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement highlighted that these detentions occur without charge or trial, preventing the detainees and their legal representatives from reviewing any evidence. The commission emphasized that such practices starkly contrast with international humanitarian law, noting that Israel remains the sole entity systematically implementing this policy.

The authorities defend these actions by referencing undisclosed secret files, which result in detainees being held without clarity on the reasons for their detention or the duration they will spend in custody.
