Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed the funeral prayer for the forgiven, by Allah's will, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, may Allah have mercy on him, at the Imam Muhammed ibn Abd Al Wahhab Mosque today.

According to Qatar News Agency, the prayer, which followed the Maghrib prayer, was attended by several distinguished figures, including HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani; HE Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani; HH Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani; HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Khalifa Al-Thani; HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani; and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Also present were HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.

The ceremony was further attended by Their Excellencies the sons of the late HH the Father Amir, along with numerous Sheikhs, Ministers, senior officials, dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State, and a large gathering of citizens and residents.
