Hamas – has announced the release of a detainee with Russian citizenship, a decision made in response to requests from Russian President Vladimir Putin. This development comes amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, the release of the Russian detainee was a direct response to President Putin’s appeals. Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, Putin has openly criticized the siege imposed on the enclave, the disruption of relief supplies, and the targeting of Palestinian civilians.
