Gold Slips Amid Anticipation of US Inflation Data

Gold: Gold slipped on Monday as investors took profits after prices hit a seven-week high in the previous session, while markets awaited US inflation data for fresh clues on the Federal Reserve's interest rate outlook. Spot gold was down 0.5% at $4,322.28 per ounce. Prices reached their highest since June 17 on Friday following weaker-than-expected US jobs data.

According to Qatar News Agency, US gold futures fell 0.4% to $4,381.60. The precious metals market also saw declines in other commodities, with spot silver falling 0.2% to $63.45 per ounce, platinum losing 0.1% to $1,742.50, and palladium slipping 1.1% to $1,362.97. These movements reflect the cautious sentiment among investors as they look to upcoming economic indicators for guidance.
