Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, discussed in a phone call with his Rwandan counterpart, Olivier Nduhungirehe, the latest regional developments and the challenges facing Africa, in addition to ways to boost bilateral relations.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Abdelatty highlighted the importance of calm in the Great Lakes region, emphasizing that stability in this area would contribute significantly to restoring broader regional peace and stability. He reiterated Egypt's full support for efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and advancing development for the peoples of the region.
On bilateral relations, the Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed his country's interest in strengthening cooperation with Rwanda in various fields, especially in the economy and trade sectors, to serve the interests of both countries and support development and stability efforts on the continent.
