HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Sunday with HE Vice-President of the European Commission for Promoting our European Way of Life Margaritis Schinas who is currently visiting the country to attend the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremony.
During the meeting, they discussed the relations of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the European Union, especially in the area of fostering the partnership in security, social and cultural sectors and the latest preparations to host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The meeting addressed the efforts of the State of Qatar in the field of overhauling the labor laws and the legislations enacted by the State of Qatar to safeguard the rights of laborers.
HE Vice-President of the European Commission lauded the preparations made by the State of Qatar to make the major global football event a success.
