Doha: China launched a new remote sensing satellite from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan on Monday. According to Qatar News Agency, the Yaogan-46 satellite was launched aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket. It has entered the preset orbit successfully, confirming the advancement in China's space capabilities. The satellite will be primarily used in disaster prevention and relief, land resource surveys, hydrology, meteorology, and other related fields. These applications highlight the satellite's role in enhancing China's monitoring and management of natural resources and environmental conditions. This launch marked the 605th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series, underscoring China's continued commitment to expanding its space exploration and satellite deployment efforts.
