Arab League Denounces Iranian Aggression Towards Gulf States and Jordan

The arab league: The Arab League has issued a strong condemnation of the ongoing Iranian attacks on several Gulf states, including Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Jordan. The League has reaffirmed its rejection of actions that compromise the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab nations, emphasizing the threat these actions pose to regional security and stability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy stated that the Iranian attacks are unjustifiable. He highlighted the importance of Arab unity and decisive response in the face of any violation of an Arab nation's sovereignty. The statement underscored that the security of Arab states is interconnected and cannot be compromised.

The Arab League further criticized Iran's actions that destabilize the region, citing violations of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The statement also addressed the threat posed by repeated Iranian attacks on commercial vessels, which endanger the safety and freedom of international navigation.

Solidarity with the affected Arab states was reaffirmed by the League, which expressed support for all legitimate measures these nations undertake to defend their sovereignty and protect their populations. The League called upon the UN Security Council to take effective action to stop these violations, uphold international law, and ensure the security of international navigation, thereby contributing to regional peace and stability.
