Caretaker Minister of National Defense, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Zeina Akar, on Tuesday met in Qatar with Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar, Farah Berri, with whom she discussed the Embassy’s activities, especially with regard to catering to the needs of the Lebanese diaspora.

Akar then welcomed a delegation representing the Lebanese diaspora in Qatar. Discussions focused on the current situation in Lebanon in light of the dire economic situation.

Fir her part, Akar stressed the importance of preserving the special ties between Lebanon and Qatar, calling for solidarity amid the prevailing circumstances.

Akar finally hoped for a swift cabinet formation to help remedy the ailing situation in Lebanon.
