The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (ADLSA) has completed the ‘Information Assets Classification’ project, which implements the necessary security controls for hosted data protection following the best international standards and practices.

Director of Information Systems Department at ADLSA, Eng. Muna Alfadhli, explained that this step stems from the eagerness of the Ministry to achieve cybersecurity requirements, in compliance with the National Strategy, and in preparation to keep pace with the acceleration of electronic procedural services, coinciding with Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022, as well as to ensure the protection of personal data of the public.

Alfadhli affirmed that ADLSA was one of the first entities to implement a plan to complete the project for classifying its information assets based on the degree of sensitivity and applying the necessary security controls to protect hosted data within its services, in accordance with the best international standards and practices.
