Amman – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Jordan organized a two-day workshop focusing on the legal and regulatory aspects of green hydrogen production, usage, and export. This initiative is part of Jordan’s efforts to advance its green energy sector.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop centered on three main topics derived from a study by an international consultant in quality energy development, appointed by the World Bank through the Multi-Donor Trust Fund. The first topic dealt with recommendations to enhance Jordan’s legislative and regulatory framework for the green hydrogen and ammonia industry. It also aimed to define the roles of various stakeholders, considering global experiences in this field.
The second topic explored technical solutions for producing green hydrogen and ammonia with high efficiency and low costs. The third topic addressed the best marketing and commercial strategies for the production, distribution, and export of hydrogen and ammonia, drawing on international expertise in these areas.
