Wifaq Concludes Successful 47th Premarital Program for Prospective Couples

Doha: Family Consulting Center (Wifaq), an entity under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, has successfully concluded the 47th edition of its premarital qualification program, conducted in collaboration with the General Directorate of Endowments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the three-day event saw the participation of numerous young men and women preparing for marriage. The initiative is part of Wifaq's continuous efforts to enhance family awareness and foster stability within Qatari society. The program is designed to provide prospective couples with essential knowledge and skills aimed at nurturing stable and balanced family environments.

The program emphasized the significance of informed preparation for married life, which is a crucial element in mitigating family issues and improving the quality of family life. It addressed various specialized topics, such as religious, psychological, social, and health aspects of marriage. Additionally, participants were trained in effective communication, conflict management, and building relationships grounded in affection, mercy, and mutual comprehension.

Several educational and interactive workshops were integral to the program. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Harami led a session titled 'Fulfilling Half of Your Faith,' which explored the religious principles essential for a successful marriage. Dr. Mohammed Al Anzi's workshop on 'Marital Compatibility and Harmony' focused on the importance of compatibility and communication between spouses in establishing a solid marital foundation.

The program concluded with Dr. Hassan Al Breiki's workshop, 'A Healthy Marital Relationship,' which underscored the skills and behaviors necessary for maintaining a stable relationship. He highlighted strategies to manage challenges and disagreements constructively and empathetically.
