Doha: Qatar's national men's volleyball team advanced to the final of the 2nd West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship, currently being held in Muscat, Oman, after defeating Iraq 3-0 in the semifinals.

According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar continued its run in the tournament and moved a step closer to defending the title it won in the inaugural edition in Bahrain. Qatar reached the semifinals after topping Group A with a record, opening with a 3-1 victory over Syria before defeating Kuwait in straight sets.

The Qatari team will face the winner of the other semifinal between Oman and Kuwait in the championship match later, as it seeks to capture the tournament's second title and reaffirm its status as one of West Asia's leading volleyball teams.
