Various activities delight Qatar Charity’s orphans around the world

The activities and events organized by Qatar Charity for its sponsored orphans in several countries, on International Children’s Day, brought joy and happiness to their hearts, which came in line with the “Make a Hero” campaign for orphans—and coincided with the Qatar World Cup 2022.

This is within the framework of activating and mobilizing advocacy and support for children’s rights.

The participating children thanked Qatar Charity for the sports and entertainment activities held for them through their field offices. They expressed their hope that they would be heroes in their communities in the future.

These events, which lasted for a week, aim to focus on children’s rights and the duties of states and societies to protect and care for them, encourage children to practice sports as a way of life, enhance their importance and highlight their relationship to mental health and well-being, and promote the psychological and social health of the sponsored.

The sponsored children, including those with disabilities, participated in several countries: Bosnia, Djibouti, Yemen, Somalia, Albania, Tunisia, and Kosovo, in addition to Turkey.

The events included many sports, entertainment, and awareness activities, such as football, cricket, and badminton, in addition to presenting educational plays for children to introduce them to their rights, face painting, and palm engravings for girls, in addition to distributing gifts to the participants.

Bosnia

In the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, in coordination and cooperation with the Embassy of the State of Qatar, an educational and entertaining activity was held in a kindergarten, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Sultan Ali Al-Khater, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bosnia.

His Excellency the Ambassador praised Qatar Charity’s effective and continuous role in implementing projects and programs that are in the interest of Bosnian society in general. “Such activities of a social nature serve as a bridge of communication with the various segments of Bosnian society, and we encourage them to be carried out from time to time with other groups,” he said.
