New york: Major indices on the US stock market closed higher at the end of the trading session on Wall Street. According to Qatar News Agency, the S and P 500 index rose by 32.06 points, or 0.49 percent, ending at 6,616.35 points. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 209.37 points, a gain of 0.95 percent, to reach 22,350.48 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 58.68 points, or 0.13 percent, finishing at 45,892.90 points.
