Tehran: The US military said it had disabled an oil tanker after it attempted to breach the US-imposed blockade on Iranian ports. Navy Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for US Central Command (CENTCOM), confirmed that the tanker was disabled following multiple non-compliance incidents by its crew.

According to Qatar News Agency, the tanker made at least four attempts to breach the blockade despite repeated warnings from US forces. "The crew was repeatedly warned, didn't comply, and US forces on scene disabled the ship after firing into its engine room," Hawkins stated. The vessel, having been immobilized, was no longer en route to Iran.

This incident follows a series of strikes carried out by CENTCOM against Iran over the past 13 nights. However, the command reported no new strikes overnight, indicating a temporary lull in military actions.
