US Military: 1 Service Member Missing, 3 Injured After Helicopter’s Emergency Landing in Arabian Sea

Doha: The US military announced that one US service member was missing and three others were injured after their MH-60S Seahawk helicopter made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday. The incident has prompted an intensive search and rescue effort in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the US Navy's Fifth Fleet issued a statement confirming that operations are underway to locate the missing crew member. The fleet assured that all available resources are being utilized in the search efforts.

The statement from the US Navy also clarified that there are no indications that the emergency landing was a result of hostile action. The helicopter was operating from the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier at the time of the incident. The cause of the emergency landing is currently under investigation.
