Several US states have approved security plans to protect the crucial presidential election:elated sites, including plans to position snipers on building rooftops to protect vote-counting centers, panic buttons for poll workers, and surveillance drones.
According to Qatar News Agency, Robert Burgess, one of the Republican party’s strategic analysts, expressed hope that these measures would bring calm, saying that there were many dangerous and violent speeches during this election race. He added that Americans want to feel safe when they go to vote and to enjoy the experience.
Marjorie Margolies, a former member of the US Congress, expressed hope that these elections would take place under peaceful conditions. She said that candidates’ statements should be responsible to avoid scenarios like the Capitol attack.
