US and Iran Formalize Agreement to End Conflict Electronically

Tehran: The United States and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bring an end to the ongoing conflict between the two nations, which originated on February 28. The agreement was signed electronically on Wednesday, marking a significant step towards de-escalation.

According to Qatar News Agency, representatives from both the US and Iran have confirmed that the MoU has already come into effect. The Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson in Tehran clarified that the upcoming meeting in Switzerland on Friday is not intended for the signing of the agreement. Instead, both parties have agreed on the electronic format for the MoU, emphasizing the modern approach to conflict resolution.

The electronic signing of this MoU is considered a crucial development after months of confrontations and heightened tensions between the US and Iran. This new agreement is seen as a pivotal move towards reducing hostilities and fostering peace in the region.
