Unified Medical Center of Security and Safety Operations Committee of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

HE Major General Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al Thani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Commander of the Lekhwiya Force, inaugurated today, Sunday, 9 October 2022, the Unified Medical Center for the Security and Safety Operations Committee of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the Lekhwiya Force headquarters. The Centre will provide primary health care for the committee’s staff on deputation from government agencies such as the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense and Lekhwiya Force, and the participants in securing the tournament from other countries.

 

Many directors of departments, officers and doctors working at the Centre attended the inauguration ceremony.

Colonel Dr Mohamed Hamad Al-Ghayathin, Head of the Manpower Unit of the Security and Safety Operations Committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, briefed HE, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and the guests about the Medical Centre and the medical services it provides, the mechanism of work at the Centre and its high-level medical capabilities.

 

HE Major General Abdulaziz bin Faisal Al Thani toured the facilities of the Centre and expressed his thanks for the efforts made by all parties to harness the best medical care for the workers of the Security and Safety Operations Committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the guests from other countries.

 

His Excellency also stressed the need to double the efforts during the tournament to ensure the provision of a high-level and quality medical service to all.
