UN Security Council Convenes for Seventh Time Over Gaza War

New York – The United Nations Security Council is scheduled to convene tonight to deliberate on the persistent war in Gaza.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting aims to foster a consensus among the 15-member body regarding the ongoing conflict. The United Arab Emirates, a member of the Council, initiated the call for this session, highlighting the exacerbating health crisis in the region, which has been worsened by repeated assaults on medical facilities.

This marks the seventh instance since October 7 that the Security Council has gathered to address the current war in Gaza, indicating the gravity and complexity of the situation. The Council’s efforts are part of a broader international endeavor to mitigate the conflict and address its humanitarian repercussions.
