Ukraine Reports Casualties from Russian Drone Strikes in Multiple Regions

Kyiv: Two people were killed and four others injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine's Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Poltava regions, Ukrainian officials said on Tuesday, as both Kyiv and Moscow reported intercepting large numbers of drones overnight.

According to Qatar News Agency, Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, stated that a Russian drone strike on the border community of Velyka Pysarivka and the village of Stetskivka resulted in two fatalities. Additionally, Ukraine's state news agency, Ukrinform, reported that three individuals sustained injuries due to Russian air strikes on the southern Mykolaiv region.

Separately, a Russian drone attack targeted an industrial facility in the central Poltava region, injuring one person and igniting fires at several locations, as reported by Ukrinform. In response, Ukraine's Air Force announced that its air defense units successfully shot down 108 Russian drones over northern, eastern, and southern parts of the country.

On the other side, Russia's Defense Ministry reported that its air defense forces destroyed 430 Ukrainian drones overnight across various Russian regions. Both nations have intensified their drone attacks recently, focusing on energy facilities, industrial sites, and other essential infrastructure. It is important to note that battlefield claims from either side have not been independently verified.
