The UK said that it will begin evacuating its citizens from Sudan today, after the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces agreed to a ceasefire for 72 hours.

The UK Foreign Office said that they will send military aircraft that will evacuate holders of UK passports, with priority given to children and the elderly who have a medical condition.

The Foreign Office added that UK nationals must avoid heading to the airport, until they are contacted.
